Where to Hike on O‘ahu
Oʻahu offers breathtaking views, and the best way to take them in is by hitting the trails. Swap your flip-flops for sneakers—these hikes take you from misty rainforests to coastal cliffs, with just enough effort to earn that post-trek drink. Whether you're chasing sunrise, sunset, or just need an excuse to unplug, these trails give you a one-of-a-kind look at the island’s āina (land)—and you’ll definitely want more.

Trust us on this one you are going to want to spend as much time as you can doing everything outside. We live here and we still go nuts for the views. Our culture is rooted in exploring nature and hiking is one of the many ways we suggest spending some time with our Āina (land.) A friendly reminder of how amazing life can truly be.
Here are a few hikes we think you should try:
Diamond Head Summit Trail - just 3 miles from the hotel it is one of our most famous landmarks near Waikiki. The view is worth every drop of sweat. Reservations are required. 1.9 mi 515 ft
Waimea Valley Trail - located on the North Shore is a place to see waterfalls and peacocks! Yes they do wander freely around the North Shore. Native birds, beautiful botanicals, and Hawaiian cultural sites. You can walk and learn.
Koko Head Crater Trail - is for the adventure lover and workout fanatic. No shade this trail gets HOT so make sure you bring sunscreen and water.
Mānoa Falls Trail - muddy, misty, and movie scenes Manoa Falls has locations for Lost & Jurassic Park. 1.8 mi 577 ft
Don’t forget water, reef-friendly sunscreen, stay on the trails, wear comfortable clothes, smile at other hikers.
